The Virtual Schooling Service (VSS) is an innovative service that has arisen out of research undertaken by Education Queensland. i–school is the part of VSS that delivers secondary school subjects to school–based students within Education Queensland.
VSS i-school, now affiliated with BSDE, has moved to full implementation and is an integral part of BSDE’s service delivery options.
i-school aims to: • use an interactive online environment to enhance the subject choice available to secondary learners; • use information and communications technology to improve access to the curriculum and create diverse learning experiences; • develop collaborative learning processes which use technology in a networked environment.
