click on the below 'undock' button to release netmeeting from this page, and setup up as per instruction below, if needed.

when you are finished with the conference tool simply hangup using the below button

Make sure that your details are correctly filled out in the options drop down menu, as this is what will be displayed when the conference starts.

Very important

Finally, so that you do not lose the connection to the conference , make sure that you browser is set to open in a new window for links. To do this :

select 'tools' from drop down menu at the top of your browser screen.
then select 'internet options' ( a pop up window will open)
select 'advanced' from the menu tab
deselect 'reuse window for launching shortcuts' ( the default setting is ticked already, so untick it)
click on OK to return to the normal browser view.

Data Conference Invitation Failure

If you get an conference failure message as in the following image, call the conference using the information given within failure message ( shown as first circled text , conference address within the image) , and then the next two steps (enter subject name , which is the conference ID and password , when you are prompted)

(Please note: I will always send an email prior to scheduling a lesson, this email will include a password to access the scheduled class), if you do not receive one...assume it is the same as the last, or as per the instructions that I have placed within our course, for this subject, at the blackboard site)

Addendum:

Some schools and individuals cannot communicate using netmeeting with its existing configuration and connections. This service allows netmeeting to work for them. The Brisbane school of Distance Education no longer permits the use of netmeeting as it stands, but it will allow netmeeting to work via the data conferencing service.
